Many Chabad Shluchim serve in communities with little or no Jewish infrastructure. While this presents many challenges, none have been as difficult as providing a consistent Jewish education for their own children. For decades, Shluchim in remote locations relied on improvised solutions such as homeschooling, short term tutors, or post seminary teachers, often with limited resources and continuity.
The Shluchim Office was established at the request of the Lubavitcher Rebbe to support Shluchim, Shluchos, and their families in both their personal lives and outreach work. Over the years, one need was raised repeatedly: meaningful assistance with the education of the Shliach and Shlucha’s own children. This long standing challenge led to the founding of the Nigri Shluchim Online School in 2006, providing a sustainable educational solution for thousands of families around the globe.
Today, the school delivers live real time Jewish education directly to students in their homes worldwide. Through a structured curriculum, qualified educators, and interactive classroom experiences, students receive a rigorous and meaningful education while connecting with peers who share their unique shlichus lifestyle. The school provides stability, consistency, and educational excellence, ensuring that the children of Shluchim receive the quality Chassidishe education they deserve, wherever they may be located.
The school operates through three divisions serving major geographic regions worldwide. The school is headquartered at the Shluchim Office in Brooklyn, NY, which also serves as the regional hub for the two American divisions and the English language European division, while a second hub in Israel provides administration, student support, and a teaching center for the Hebrew division.
The school’s policies and educational hashgacha are overseen by an advisory Vaad composed of respected Shluchim and Anash with extensive experience in education and organizational leadership.
