Mishenichnas Adar Marbim B'Simcha at JOS

Mishenichnas Adar Marbim B’Simcha at JOS
“Mishe nichnas Adar marbim b’simcha.” As the month of Adar begins, joy fills every corner of JOS, and our students truly feel that simcha in the air.
Every Wednesday during Adar is celebrated with a different themed dress-up day, bringing smiles, laughter, and creativity to our school community. From Crazy Hat Day, to Color Day, to full Purim dress-up, students eagerly look forward to each week’s surprise. The excitement builds as children proudly show off their outfits and enjoy the festive atmosphere together.
Adding to the fun, teachers even switch classes as a lighthearted Purim prank, much to the delight of the students. The unexpected visits bring laughter and keep everyone guessing. Each day begins with music, jokes, and riddles, setting a joyful tone and helping students step right into the spirit of Adar before learning begins.
Classrooms are buzzing with hands-on Purim activities. Students are busy creating their own Megillot, crafting colorful graggers, and baking delicious hamantashen. These experiences bring the story and mitzvot of Purim to life in a meaningful and memorable way.
Adar at JOS is about more than costumes and celebrations. It is about cultivating happiness, togetherness, and a love for Yiddishkeit. Through music, laughter, creativity, and learning, our students are living the message of marbim b’simcha in the most beautiful way.
We look forward to continuing the joy as Purim approaches and celebrating many more moments of simcha together.
