Level 2 Boys Chumash Party: A Joyful Milestone

Mazal tov to Ezra, Ezra, Gavriel, Aharon, and Asher on reaching this exciting and meaningful milestone in their Jewish learning. The Level 2 Boys Chumash Party was filled with joy, pride, and a powerful sense of connection to our mesorah.

Families came together from across the country and beyond to celebrate this special moment. Parents, siblings, and grandparents joined from Mexico, Florida, Los Angeles, Arkansas, Iowa, New York, and many other places, all united in honoring these boys and their accomplishments. The excitement was palpable as loved ones gathered to share in the nachas.

In advance of the celebration, each student received a beautifully prepared Chumash box in the mail. Inside was a festive backdrop and balloons, a crown, tzedakah, a snack, and most importantly, a special Chumash. Parents wrote personal messages inside, turning each Chumash into a meaningful keepsake. During the celebration, parents presented the Chumash to their sons, symbolizing the unbroken chain of Torah, passed lovingly from generation to generation, all the way back to Moshe Rabbeinu at Har Sinai.

The boys proudly showed off their learning and the hard work they put into preparing for this day. Their excitement and confidence reflected the magnitude of this milestone. Beginning Chumash is not just another step in school. It is a foundational moment that connects each child to Torah, to our people, and to a tradition that has endured for thousands of years.

A heartfelt thank you to Rabbi Berkowitz, the boys’ devoted teacher, for his dedication and care, and to Rabbi Jacobs, Boys Division Head, for his leadership and support. Their guidance helped make this celebration both meaningful and memorable.

Mazal tov to our Level 2 boys and their families on this incredible achievement. This was a moment of pride today and a promise for the future.
