A Buzzing Start to the New Term in Day School!

Our school has been buzzing since the students came back, and yesterday was a perfect snapshot of all the learning happening across every classroom. Each child is on their own unique journey and it’s amazing to see their growth in action!

In our Pre1 classes, little ones were having a blast with Alef Beis games, building early literacy while laughing and learning. Meanwhile, Level 1 students were practicing their kriah skills, reading words with focus and excitement.

Up in Level 2, students were developing pre-Chumash skills, laying the foundation for more advanced learning ahead. Level 3 students were getting creative in Halacha for morning prayers, drawing pictures to capture what they learned, a perfect mix of art and Torah.

Our Levels 4-5 were diving into Chumash in chavrusah, using their skills to understand the posuk with care and curiosity. Levels 6-7 were learning Chumash and Rashi together as a class, asking deep, thoughtful questions that showed real understanding and engagement.

And in Level 8, the discussion around halachos of meat and milk was lively. One student asked, “Can you cook kosher meat in non-kosher milk?” and another jumped in with an answer. Their thinking is right on target, as this will be tomorrow’s lesson.

It was incredible to see every class so fully engaged, each student learning at their own pace, asking questions, exploring, and growing. The year has started with energy, curiosity, and joy, and we can’t wait to see what the rest of the year holds!
