Empowering Parents on the Kriah Journey

At Jewish Online School, we believe that teaching students how to read is only part of the mission. We also give parents the knowledge and tools they need to support their children every step of the way. When home and school work together, children thrive. That is why we recently offered a special parent workshop focused on kriah, led by Morah Brocha Doch.

Morah Brocha was clear, warm, and incredibly eloquent. She broke down the differences between English reading and Hebrew reading in a way that was understandable and practical for every parent. Many parents shared that they finally understood why Hebrew reading works the way it does and how they can help their children grow with confidence.

The class was very interactive. Parents answered questions in the chat, and Morah Brocha responded to every single one. The energy was positive and involved, with everyone participating and learning together.

At the end of the session, parents stayed on to ask specific questions they were struggling with. Morah Brocha patiently addressed each concern and offered straightforward strategies that parents could begin using right away.

The workshop was a wonderful reminder that our school is not only here for students. We are here for families. When parents feel supported and empowered, children feel it too.
