✨ Our First Week of School – What a Start! ✨

We kicked off the year with a bang!

Take a peak into the first day of each deparment with us!

In the girls’ department, students enjoyed an exciting and interactive assembly where they played the Zoom In, Zoom Out game and a lively Elul/Rosh Hashana challenge.

In the boys’ department, the ruach was just as strong. Their assembly also featured engaging games that got everyone thinking about the Yomim Tovim while having lots of fun.

After the assemblies, classes went right into learning Kriah, Chumash, Halacha, Yomim Tovim, and Parsha. Along the way, each class played creative get-to-know-you games. From “Two Truths and One Dream” to Get-to-Know-You Connect 4, everyone got a chance to laugh, share, and connect with new friends.

In General Studies, we started with fun introduction games before diving into learning. Students explored Poetry by writing playful get-to-know-you poems, worked on reading comprehension, and began exciting new units in Science and Math. One student summed it up best: “This has to be my favourite school I have been in so far.” – E, a new student coming from the public school system.

In After School, the excitement continued. Classes began with more icebreakers and then went straight into learning. We wrapped up with a fun assembly where students played games and used the chat box to answer review questions from their very first day.

In Hebrew School, students joined the Hebrew Reading Room and began learning all about Rosh Hashana. They explored the powerful idea of “the King in the Field” and how during this special time, Hashem is close and approachable, ready to hear our tefillos.

It was a week filled with fun, friendship, and Torah. We can’t wait to see what’s next!
