Amazing JOS Story: A Journey of Jewish Connection

Amazing JOS Story: A Journey of Jewish Connection
At Nigri Jewish Online School (JOS), we often say that Jewish education has the power to change lives. Recently, we witnessed an incredible story that touched our entire community.
A mother, newly divorced from her non-Jewish husband, moved with her two young boys to Argentina, where her own mother lives. Looking to give her children the Jewish foundation she had always wanted for them, she turned to the internet and searched for Jewish education. That search led her to JOS.
For a year, the boys learned privately with their JOS teacher, Rabbi Bari, who guided them with patience, warmth, and inspiration. Together, they studied, grew, and embraced their Jewish identity.
And then, a milestone moment: after a year of learning, the boys celebrated their Bris Milah. Their teacher, Rabbi Bari, was there in person to witness this incredible step in their Jewish journey.
The mother shared her gratitude with us, writing:
“BH. Thank you Chanie. Your work is incredible too. JOS, you and Rabbi Bari will be forever in our lives and this is amazing. Forever grateful. Thank you for being here with us!!!!”
Stories like this remind us why we do what we do. JOS is more than just a school, it is a lifeline of Jewish connection, identity, and community for families all over the world.
We are honored to have been part of this family’s journey, and we look forward to celebrating many more milestones with them.
